Excellence in developing affordable healthcare for the elderly

Society for Innovation and Development (SID), IISc in association with Department of Innovation and Technology, Government of Karnataka, has established a MedTech & Geriatric Healthcare Technology Business Incubator (CPDMED TBI) at Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (CPDM), Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The establishment facilitates innovation and entrepreneurship and invites innovator entrepreneurs for developing and realisation of their ideas from hatching and nurturing through to commercialisation.

TBI@CPDM is set up to promote innovation and entrepreneurship of Startups by facilitating translation of technology ideas, designs and innovation in various disciplines of science and engineering into solutions  in the area of Medical Technology and Geriatric Healthcare with regulatory compliance and commercialization for the benefit of the society. It provides facilities for incubation of new entities with innovative ideas, designs or technologies by admitting them in TBI and providing them physical, technical and networking supports and services.

The services include working space for the startups at our “Hatchery”, high confidence pre compliance testing facilities in the areas of Usability Testing Facility, Medical Simulations & Electronic Testing Facility, Environmental Testing Facility, Mechanical testing facility, Chemical Testing facility and Biological testing Facility & services. The TBI also facilitates the incubates to utilize the vast resources and facilities in CPDM and IISc on a need and feasibility basis

Incubation Programs(Entrepreneur-in-Residence program gives opportunities to validate product ideas from prototype to market-fit products with feasible business models. We incubate startups and support them with technology and business FREE for 12 Months and Access to CPDMed TBI facilities at special rates, beyond first year).
